Nigel Dolton

Sadly Nigel Dolton, the Championship Director, died on the 19^th June following complications after heart surgery.

His family are determined that the competition continues and contact will be made in the next fortnight to advise any changes in arrangements if any.

Welcome to the Junior Team Golf website covering the Home Nations Inter-Club Championship. The Championship finals are held at the prestigious La Manga Club in Spain.

Entry for the 2008 Championship is now fully underway. Clubs compete for places via their local leagues. If you are unsure which leagues are relevant to you, contact us and we will put you in touch. The 2007 finals were from the 8th to the 10th January 2008 and were featured in an hour long programme on Sky Sports at the end of January. The four teams in front of the final score board are from left to right, Craigielaw from Scotland, Carmarthen from Wales, Co Sligo from Ireland and Hallamshire from England.

The event was won by Co Sligo of Ireland in a contest that we not decided until after the last round. Seldom can there have been such a gripping finale or such high emotion before the final result was known. Indeed were it not for players signing for incorrect scores, a difficult lesson that all golfers must learn, Scotland could have claimed the day.
